What we collect
If you contact us (through the form on this site or by email), we receive what you send us: your name, email address, company if you include it, and your message. We also receive how you found us: the campaign tags in the link you arrived through, if any, and the site that referred you.
Cookies and analytics
We ask before we switch analytics on. The first time you visit, you get a choice between Accept and Decline, and you can change it at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer. We run no advertising pixels at all.
If you accept, two tools run. Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and which of our work brought them here (how Google uses this data). Microsoft Clarity shows us where people scroll, click, and get stuck, and it records a playback of the visit. We have Clarity set to its strictest masking mode, so all text is hidden before it ever reaches Microsoft: the recording shows movement and layout, not what you read or type. Anything you enter in a form is masked and is never uploaded (Microsoft privacy statement).
If you decline, Clarity never loads and records nothing. To be straight with you about the one thing that is easy to overstate: Google Analytics still receives an anonymous signal that a visit happened, with no cookies and nothing that identifies you or follows you between pages. We would rather say that plainly than claim nothing runs at all.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we load neither tool and never ask. Browser extensions that block analytics work normally here; we do not attempt to work around them.
How we know where you came from
Your browser stores a small record of how you first reached this site and how you most recently reached it: any campaign tags in the link, and the referring site. It stays on your device and is not shared with anyone. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to submit the contact form, and then it is attached to your message so we know which of our work brought you here. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
What we do with it
We use your contact information to reply to you and to talk about working together. We do not sell it or rent it, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for. Outside Vero Creative it reaches only the services that make the site run: our email provider, our hosting, and the analytics tools named above.
How long we keep it
When you send us a message, it is saved to a database on our hosting alongside being emailed to us, so that a message cannot be lost if the email fails to arrive. We keep it for 24 months, and after that it is deleted automatically by a scheduled job rather than whenever someone remembers. If we are working together, or talking about it, we keep the correspondence for as long as that is true. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time, and we will.
Hosting
This site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard server logs (like IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site. See the Cloudflare privacy policy for how they handle that data.
Your choices
Want your information corrected or deleted? Email us and we will take care of it. Questions about any of this go to the same place: hello@verocreative.com.
Changes
If how this site handles information changes (for example, if we add advertising tags or turn on session recording), this page changes with it, in the same update, with a new date at the top.
